BEST PRACTICES
Running Announcement Slides
- Once the congregation is asked to be seated, put the Vox Church “Welcome” slide on screen
- Whenever there is not a slide for an announcement, this should be the holding slide in its place
- Once an announcement either date or title has been said, that is the cue to place up the announcement slide
- Example: “On Saturday we’re having our Illume worship night”, cue the worship night slide
- This slide will remain up until the announcement is over
- Once the host begins talking about offering, whether it is with a scripture or a story, the “Ways to Give” slide should be projected and remain up until the end of the offering prayer
Transition from ProPresenter to RESI
- As the bumper video plays, you will want to get prepared to press play on the RESI cue for sermon
- This cue should already be selected by clicking the “Go To” button once it is known that the cue has been placed by broadcast
- As the bumper finishes, you will click play on RESI and then press “Auto” on the Blackmagic switcher inside your video rack
- This will cause the video to fade into the speaker’s video
- Once the RESI video is playing, you will want to press play on the video backup within ProPresenter so that if anything was to happen to stream, you can transition over to back up by simply pressing “Auto” again
Transition from RESI to ProPresenter
- Once the speaker asks the congregation to stand, ProPresenter will be either blank or should be cleared so that it is showing a blank screen
- Once the video content from RESI fades to black, you will then press “Auto” on the Blackmagic switcher inside your video rack
- This will now cause video content from your ProPresenter computer to display content
- Once ProPresenter is displayed, click pause on the RESI to stop video playback from RESI
- Even though RESI is no longer being projected, content is still being played, which is why we want to pause it just in case of audio issues
